HAL Experiences

In the spring of '04 Joe Whinery & George Walker attempted to install SmoothWall on an old PC. They reported back that it refused to recognize the NIC's, and so they could not complete the install. I (ra) have talked to them again in light of the success A+ has had with it. I am hoping to help them make it work, perhaps even have an "install fest" in Oct.

David Shackleford
Modem — success
Rick Archibald
Ethernet — bad CD-ROM – won't boot

Later Donn Washburn reported by e-mail that he had sucessfully installed it at home.
